An art exhibition featuring works from nine Portuguese-speaking countries opened on September 29 in Zhongshan, Guangdong, as part of the 17th China-Portuguese-Speaking Countries Cultural Week. The event aims to strengthen cultural ties between China and Lusophone nations through visual arts, music, and dance.

The exhibition, hosted at the Zhongshan Museum, showcases 27 pieces by 23 artists from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal, S?o Tomé and Príncipe, and Timor-Leste. The mediums include acrylic paintings, oils, and photography, offering a glimpse into the diverse cultural landscapes across the Lusophone world.

Organized by the Macao-based Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries and the Zhongshan Municipal Government, the event adopts a "two-venue" model. After it runs in Zhongshan until October 12, the exhibition will move to Macao, a key platform for Sino-Lusophone exchange.

Complementing the visual arts, live performances will take place on September 30 and October 1 at Xingzhong Square, featuring traditional music and dance from the participating countries.
