A ceremony marking the commencement of the construction of Guangzhou's key projects in the first quarter (Q1) of 2025 was held in Nansha District on February 7.

It is learnt from the ceremony that in the first quarter of 2025, Guangzhou started the construction of 341 projects with a total investment exceeding 238.9 billion yuan. Among them, 71 projects have started in Nansha District, accounting for approximately 20% of the city's launched projects, with a total investment of 37.4 billion yuan. 

These projects focus on industrial construction, infrastructure, social welfare, urban renewal, and other fields. Among these projects are 25 industrial construction projects with a total investment of 13.8 billion yuan, accounting for nearly 40% of the total, covering various fields such as technological innovation, advanced manufacturing, and biomedicine.
